Questions on Minors getting Services at the Spa
Minors are permitted to receive massage or facial at StoneWorks Massage and Skincare. Parent or legal guardian must be present in helping complete the Health History Form for the minor, along with consent for the massage/facial therapy session.
Guidelines:
• Minors (all clients under the age of 18- unless otherwise emancipated) can only receive massage or facial with written parental/legal guardian consent.
• In collaboration with the consenting adult and child, the massage therapist will assist in establishing goals for the session(s).
• For clients age 13 and under, the parent/guardian must always be present in the treatment room.
• For clients age 14-17 if both client and parent/guardian are comfortable with the minor being in the treatment room by themselves; otherwise parent/guardian should be in the treatment room during each session.
• Appropriate draping will be always used during the massage, only areas being massaged are uncovered.
Question on Gratuity
• You can leave your provider a gratuity if you chose too but you don’t have too.
• How much should I leave for a gratuity? Its all depends on the service and what your comfortable leaving. Traditional gratuity is 10% to 20% of the service provided.
